Rarely associated: Most sacral dimples are not symptomatic and do not require evaluation or treatment. Only rarely are sacral dimples associated with a tethered cord. If you have symptoms such as feeling weak or numb in legs, if there are issues with bladder or bowel control, you should have it evaluated - usu including MRI or CT. Size of dimple, hair association, and skin discoloration also offer some hints.
