IBS: Irritable bowel is an exclusion diagnosis and there is no known cure. Classified mostly on predominance of constipation/ diarrhea the treatment relies on identifying the circumstances under which the main symptoms worsen, type of food, stress, etc. For severe cases, where lifestyle changes failed to provide relief, meds are used to address its predominant symptoms.
