Have your back checked: Usually knee problems start in the lower back. If you walk a lot, you may be pulling on different muscles in your lower back, glutes, hamstrings, quads, above the knee, and even below the knee. Make sure you're using orthotics if you're walking that much. Also you can get a second opinion from an osteopathic physician, who can do a musculoskeletal examination and treat you at the same time!
