Varies: Just as for neurotypical individuals there is a difference but the age and level of functioning play a role in sorting out the two and they both can coexist. Depression may present as withdrawing from previously enjoyed activites or people or crying for no obvious reason. Anxiety may also prevent interactions but for different reasons or present as sensory overload or as clinginess. See provider.
