Photopenic....: A focus of photopenia in the liver means that there is decreased glucose uptake in this region. This is a nonspecific finding and could be benign or malignant. A benign simple cyst or a malignant tumor could both present as photopenia on PET. The CT finding on the corresponding CT images will tell more about the cause of the photopenic focus.
