No, but...: Any growing skin lesion needs a look. A dermatologist would be the best "one stop shop," as they can diagnose and offer biopsy (if needed) on the same day. There are some skin infections that grow slowly and some granulation disorders that are not malignancies.

No, yes: Not all rapid growing mole-like bumps are cancerous. Some benign lumps grow very fast & turn out to be nothing. The problem is we can't tell until we perform biopsy & send sample to pathologist to look at under microscope.
