Muscle strain: Pain w/specific movement is most likely due to muscle strain. Should be manageable w/OTC pain relievers. If not, need to see your Family Doc. Definitely sooner than later if numbness/tingling/weakness or unexplained fever. But by your description, sounds most consistent w/muscle strain. RICE:Rest is fine for strains/sprains. Can you apply Ice to area? Doubt area amenable to Compression & Elevation
