Risk factors: Per the World Health Organization: " A risk factor is any attribute, characteristic or exposure of an individual that increases the likelihood of developing a disease or injury." Unable to control: A non-modifiable risk factor is one over which we have no control. Our weight, for example, is modifiable. Smoking is modifiable. Family history is not. Age is not.
