what is the definition or description of: non-a non-b hepatitis?

Dr. Larry Lutwick

As it sounds,: Non a, non b hepatitis was the name given to cases of transmissible hepatitis that could not be identified as type a or b by blood tests. Much of these are now known to be hepatitis c but others are type e. Hcv is transmitted by blood whereas hev is food or waterborne generally.
