A member asked:

How does the rhesus factor (rh) affect the health of an individual?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It doesn't: It's a non-problem except when a mother who lacks it is pregnant with a baby who has it from Dad. We need to give an injection to prevent her from becoming sensitized against future pregnancies. Beyond this, anyone who tells you that you are special risk for something or need to do something because of your Rh status is misinformed or worse.
