Keep up the good work!: You seem to have answered your own question. Chronic knee pain made worse with sitting is often mild to moderate arthritis. Sitting is really hard on arthritic knees because it causes pressure in one spot on the damaged cartilage. Changing the position of your knees can help. Can you adjust your workstation to stand? Exercising is how cartilage "Breaths". Keep up the good work!
