DISCUSSION: Not all syringes require surgery, and many exist clinically silent. Intervention is based on signs of weakness or loss of sensation with particular focus on legs bowel and bladder function. A neurosurgeon can guide potential surgical choices if necessary, but medical neurologist can manage if non-surgical.
