Back pain: Scapular or shoulder blade pain can occur from overuse, sleeping the wrong way, fracture, shingles, arthritis, nerve impingement, rotator cuff injury or myofascial pain due to muscle inflammation. The tingling could imply a nerve impingement or injury due to a damaged or pinched nerve in your shoulder or neck. If it persists you should be worked up with exam and X-rays.
