Possibly: I believe than in patients who are not significantly immunocompromised, symptomatic yeast infections in the stomach are unlikely. I would suggest looking for other explanations. Probiotics can be helpful for managing a host of conditions. Look for options for getting off of the ranitidine. Short term okay but long term It too could be contributing to symptoms.

Not a yeast problem: There is no such thing as over exposure or over ingestion of yeasts, which are entirely normal in the environment, on our skin, and in our intestines and often genital tracts. Yeasts sometimes cause local symptoms, such as vaginitis. But overgrowth and "systemic candidiasis" are urban myths. I doubt your symptoms are fromyeast; if probiotics help, it won't be because yeast was the cause.
