Dryness: Dryness can cause thick secretions and if the child picks on them , it can bleed . Steam is good .

Pretty common: The inside of the nasal passages are lined with thin tissue populated with many blood vessels. These are designed to add moisture to the air we breathe. Dry environments can make these more likely to bleed.Any irritants/fumes/fragrances/dust can make baby itch at their nose.This is the usual reason for baby nose bleeds.Nasal saline wash or gel can reduce the frequency.
