Most likely nothing: If you've felt painless lumps in your armpits for many years that aren't growing or bothering you in any way, you may not need to do anything. Those lumps might be just sweat glands. Sweat glands are more prominent if you use an antiperspirant. If you ever do notice that these lumps are growing or getting painful or red, you should, of course, have it checked out.
