Concerning: That amount of swelling from a bite is concerning and I feel that you should call your pediatrician to arrange for an examination. I am concerned about bleeding(hematoma) or a severe allergic/inflammatory reaction.

Ice/Benadryl: Apply ice to area and give child Children's Benadryl (diphenhydramine). If it is not any better, see pediatrician.
