No warning, any time: Ovulation may happen anytime after anovulatory cycle without menses. Commonly it may happen a month later from expected ovulation of the prior cycle. However, it's impossible to predict. One may increase her chances to detect ovulation by combining usage of ovulation kit with basal temperature method. Starting time should be about one cycle length after one would start testing in previous cyclle.
