Yes: Menses does not affect the ability to pass a kidney stone, but other factors could, such as size and location. Some stones don't cause problems and don't need to pass or even be removed.

Yes.: Your period should not interfere with passing the stone, if it is moving. Some people have calculi (stones) in their kidney without symptoms, though. Also, some people have stones that are causing problems & they don't pass on their own or get complications, like infection from them. Check with the doc who found the stones & follow his recommendations. If uncontrolled pain, fever, vomiting to ER!
