Very rare: Oral warts are very rare. Something that looks like it might be a wart probably is something else, like a prominent sebaceous or mucus gland, fibroma, etc. See a doctor if you remain concerned about it.

Yes: Both are caused by the same virus, HPV. At the age of 18, you should consider getting an HPV vaccine because it may help to prevent further recurrences of the warts. If you're smoking please stop this behavior because they can leave you more prone to flares as well.
