Inflammation: pimples can be from bacteria and debris in a skin pore, but sometimes it is more inflammation than true infection. The redness will likely go away when the inflammation resolves. Sometimes simply icing the area briefly can reduce the redness. You can also try a small amount of cortisone cream. As always, protect your skin from the sun, but especially when you have inflammation.
