A member asked:

If a child sticks a foreign object up their nose, how long will it take for them to stop breathing and die if it is not removed?

It shouldn't: As long as the object doesn't go down the windpipe and obstruct the main airway, both the mouth and the other nostril would supply air.

Doesn't happen: It can be up there for days and the kid will start smelling like they have terminal body odor. After it is pulled out , the trapped germs begin to disappear and the kid returns to normal. They often need a brief antibiotic course for a sinus infection.
