Alcohol and meds: Generally, you should avoid any kind of alcohol & taking medications such as lorazepam. Medications such as lorazepam can still be in your system & when mixed with alcohol, could cause adverse effects on your system. Avoid mixing the two, even if twelve hours apart.

Yes: Lorazepam has a 14 hour half life so it won't be 100% eliminated from your system, but 1 mg is a small dose. You may notice that you are more sensitive to alcohol after taking a lorazepam, but the risk of dangerous respiratory depression is nil. As always, avoid driving or using dangerous machinery (as you would with alcohol anyway).
