Dying tooth: Why do you think your tooth is dying? Is there pain, discoloration, fracture? It will take a dental exam with X-ray to determine what treatment is needed for you tooth. Schedule an appointment ASAP.

Root Canal Therapy: If the nerve in the tooth is dying and the tooth is periodontally sound, then root canal therapy is indicated. In most situations the tooth will also need a crown and post. All the best....

Only 2 treatments: 1. Extraction. 2. Root canal procedure. If you think you have a dead tooth, get your dentist to take an x-ray and check it out.

2 choices: If the nerve of the tooth is dying, you most often have 2 choices. 1. Remove the damaged part of the tooth and the dying nerve, fill the root canal, place a crown, or 2. Remove the tooth itself, replace with implant/crown. See your Dentist for an evaluation and discussion of all available options.

Root canal or Ext : A root canal can save the tooth or an extraction if the tooth is non restorable. See your dentist to make the best choice for your situation. Best of luck :)
