DGL licorice: Although an ulcer is one possible cause of your pain, there are many other potential causes also. DGL licorice would not cause your pain to resolve even if your pain is due to an ulcer. Your best bet is to see your doctor for a diagnosis of the cause of your pain. In the meantime, try omeprazole 10mg each morning. Do not take this for longer than two weeks without a diagnosis. Good luck.
