No: HIV is transmitted via bodily fluids, so unless the sewing needle had bodily fluids on it from an HIV patient, you will not get HIV from it.

Unlikely: sewing needles are solid (they do not hold fluid inside) so it is very unlikely that there was enough fluid/blood in it to cause an infection. The virus is also relatively fragile out of the body so the likelihood of it being infectious for a significant length of time is also very low.
