What steps can we take to reduce the side effects of nalorex?

What side effects?: Naltrexone is generally well tolerated, with most side effects being gastrointestinal - queasiness, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, but these are usually mild and are reduced after a time. However, if a person who is STILL opioid dependent and has opioids on board takes it, it can precipitate severe withdrawal, with violent nausea and retching, total body pain, even seizures and delirium.

Side effects: Unfortunately, there's not much to be done that won't cause the possibility of other dependences. The common side effect of nausea could be combatted with a medication like ondansetron but the others like nervousness, anxious, and restless can't easily be treated with other meds that aren't potentially addicting. Headaches, joint and muscle pain can be treated with ibuprofen or naproxen.
