Sprained ankle. No fractures/dislocations in ankle on XR. Ankle MRI shows mild sprain of deltoid ligament & Full-thickness anterior & interosseous syndesmotic ligaments & partial thickness tear of posterior syndesmotic lig. Is ankle surgery needed?

I've been on 60mg nifedipine for about 5 years, I am now experiencing swelling of only one leg and foot and having awful night sweats. Could that be my cause? Had MRI's and everything under the sun but nothing shows to explain this problem?
