Not reliable see MD!: Oral or elsewhere makes no difference. All syphilis is very dangerous and the only recommended treatment is penicillin by injection; no oral Rx is reliable. If you might have syphilis or exposed, do not self treat. See a doctor, preferably public health or infectious diseases expert. Do not cut corners; it could be life threatening, especially if HIV positive, as are most US males with syphilis.
