Unlikely to occur: If you entered puberty the same time as your friends, and started menses, you are near or at the end of your linear growth. Most girls will grow about 5-6 cm after menses starts, while the hormones that trigger the process tell your growth centers to close. An x-ray of your wrist/hand can identify any extra growth potential, but for most at 17, you are likely finished.
