Kidney infection?: No, this isn't normal. You might have a urinary tract infection, perhaps involving your kidney(s), an occasional complication of stone passage. It may turn out to be nothing, but could be serious; don't take the chance. Immediately contact the doctor managing this problem. If for some reason you can't find him/her or someone covering, go to urgent care clinic or an emergency room. Good luck.
