Unusual response: This is a very unusual reaction to Vit D. You are more likely to be reacting to the other ingredients in the supplement so look for a pure Vit D3 with minimal additives. Most adults need 5-8000 iu/day to get optimal levels of 50-80. You probably don't need calcium unless your diet is low in calcium but it is wise to take Vit K with Vit D. Muscle cramps may be caused by low Magnesium. See comment:

For more on Vit D see http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dr-mark-hyman/vitamin-d-why-you-are-pro_b_585311.html For more on Vit K see http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2013/10/19/vitamin-d-vitamin-k2.aspx Magnesium deficiency is more common than calcium deficiency. Try either Magnesium Taurate or glycinate.

Depends: If you mean treat...I think not. You need antibiotics. But there are herbal med that boost your immune system and can speed the healing. Also vit d is very important. Start at 2000 iu per day and then get a blood level in a month.

Are there herbal supplements that can treat a pulmonary aspergillosis lung infection?

2 doctor answers5 doctors weighed in
Dr. Michael Depietro
Pulmonary Critical Care 35 years experience
No: Aspergillosis infects the lung when the immune system does not work well, or when the lung is damaged in some way, such as when there is a cavity or cyst in the lung that can become infected. It requires specific antibiotics, treatment of the underlying immune or lung problem and similar measures. There is no evidence that herbs of any kind do any good.

Before pregnancy: I always recommend taking a good prenatal vitamin containing iron and calcium at least 3 months prior to contemplating pregnancy. Of course life doesn't always work out like we plan but if you can plan a pregnancy start supplementation early.

Not usual for disk: With the muscular atrophy and neuritis, it might be best to undergo further testing. There are many possible causes, including diabetes, autoimmune, endocrine, to mention a few. At your age, a complete workup is indicated.
