Probably ok: 5 months should be long enough to have enough ejaculations to clear the sperm. The only way to be certain however is to do a test to make sure there are no live sperm in the ejaculate. Hope this helps!,

Yes, if no sperm: in your semen. Should have or have had semen analysis 3 months & 20 ejaculations after vasectomy. You are free & clear in absence of sperm & your wife can stop taking the pill. Check with your urologist. There is about 1:1000 chance of recanalization in rare instance post vasectomy healing resulting in reconnection of the vas.
