Trigeminal neuralgia: Trigeminal neuralgia (TN) is a severe painful condition which is often confused with a toothache. See an endodontist ASAP to rule out TN.

Have your: dentist numb the bad tooth and open it to drain. That should relieve the pain. The root canal doc can take it from there.

Antibiotics: There are really strong pain meds. What did they prescribe? If not already done, antibiotics should help. If you are using antibiotics, there may be stronger antibiotics. There are endodontists that will see you same day. Find one.
