Great Question : Methadone does have significant drug interactions. You do have alternatives. Effexor, Pristiq, (desvenlafaxine) Remeron are a few. Talk with your doctor and keep an open mind. It may require an adjustment in your methadone dose. Some people do experience drowsiness when combining other meds to their methadone. Best wishes!
