Hard to say: If you can get the kid to accept a warm compress in the area it will sometimes bring this to a head.However, it is almost impossible to do in that location and you will need to go in anyway.Sometimes abx can help but most will need to be opened and drained. Depending on the location this could originate from a hair follicle or a fistula from the intestine near the anus requiring surgery.
