Around one of my wisdom teeth extraction areas is some puss, it does not seem to hurt any more than it should. i'm just wondering if this is normal?

No: Unless there was an infection to begin with, it is not normal for pus to occur after extraction and it indicates an infection. Let your Dentist/Oral surgeon know about it.
