Normal life: Someone with half a lung may live a normal life. However, this presumption is based on them not having other illnesses that could change that and what process necessitated them losing half of their lung.

Potentially normal: lifespan. There are many people living with either a lobe removed, or an entire lung removed for various reasons and they have no problems.
