A member asked:

Is there an age at which lung cancer is no longer curable?

No: There are stage specific approaches to treat a patient with lung cancer. For patients in good health and with stage i to iiia lung cancer, the expected goal of therapy is cure regardless of age.

It's not age that is: The barrier, it is ability to endure treatment and willingnes to undergo the trials and tribulation it offers. Older folks need to neither be forced nor denied treatment based on age alone.

Not Age STAGE: Depends on stage not age of the person. Consult your board certified thoracic surgeon or medical oncologist for advise.
