Gingival recession: It could mean you are brushing too hard or with a hard toothbrush. It could mean you have a thin bio type/gums and you had orthodontic treatment that caused this. You could have occlusion or biting force issues. You could have gum disease. You could be traumatizing the gums by picks or flossing too much. Ask you dentist at your next exam
