A white spot (or any colored spot/lesion) should always be seen by a dentist who can examine it. There are simple techniques; i.e. A simple brush biopsy, that can be performed to determine the cellular makeup of the lesion. It's always good to have a peace of mind that the lesion is something as simple as scar tissue....Etc. It is fairly cheap with or without insurance ~ $250 without any insurance.
