Not necessarily: Bleeding gums are a sign of inflammation, but not every periodontal problem will manifest itself with this outward sign. To know for sure, a local dentist will need radiographs and will probe your gum tissue for pocket depths.. This determines how much space there is between the teeth and gum tissue. The more space, the less healthy they are. Time to make a call.

Maybe: Lack of bleeding does not mean your gums are completely healthy. You may have chronic gum problems that don't manifest as bleeding. You should see your dentist for a complete evaluation of your teeth and gums to know for sure.
