Please check with de: Following the insurrections as given my your doctor should be followed closely. As they know how much movement is required and much partier is needed for the movement. Using bands for longer can result in unrequired movement that can mess up your treatment.

Worse: Follow directions to avoid unwanted tooth movement. In addition, excess forces may cause damage to the bony support of the teeth. Don't attempt to speed up your treatment.

Worse: Actually slows down tooth movement by altering the way bone dissolves away and is replaced. Please follow your Orthodontic Specialist's directions to the letter for best results.
