A member asked:

Can a vaginal infection or bacterial infection make it harder for me to get pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually no: Most vaginal infections like yeast, bacterial vaginosis don't affect your ability to get pregnant. Past history of stds including gonorrhea, chlamydia may cause tubal blockage and could be a factor. Delay in getting pregnant may also relate to declining fertility with age.
