Cancer.: I hope it's not. But a hard lump on your tongue is a possible sign of oral cancer. This can be cured when caught early, so it's important to see an oral surgeon or ENT doctor right away. Even young people like you can get oral cancer, so don't wait to be seen. There's a good chance it's not cancer, but you won't know unless you get checked.

Contact dentist: Did you see your dentist? Did the dentist perform an oral cancer screen? There are many variables, from biting your tongue to something more ominous. See the dentist and if needed, you will be referred to an oral maxillofacial surgeon for a follow up and possible biopsy.
