if you have concerns about your risks of specific familial cancers, find a clinical geneticist for a consult. These are often on staff of children's hospitals or medical schools. They can create a family tree and from that and other information you provide can give you information on risks and available preventive measures/testing.

Agree with Dr. Ferguson's suggestion to get genetic counselling to ascertain if you have an inherited disorder. You can reduce your risk of cancer by adopting healthy habits: Eat a mostly vegetarian diet, avoid alcohol, tobacco and street drugs, avoid excessive exposure to sun, maintain healthy weight, exercise 30 minutes each day, drink enough water so your urine is mostly colorless.
