Would you please help describe the usual treatment methods for thyroid problems?

Treat the condition: The thyroid gland is a hormone producing gland that is very active (hyper) or underactive (hypo). If hyper this may require suppression with radioactivty. If hypo this may require thyroid medication. If not controlled and a goiter develops or a mass, this may require surgery.
