A member asked:

Hello, i had surgery on my shoulder 2 weeks ago to remove a non cancerous lypoma, i had my stitches taken out yesterday although since surgery my arm has been numb with tingly fingers, is this normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: This could be due to the surgery itself if the lipoma was deep, or from the position of your arm during the procedure, particularly if it was done with general anesthesia. Either way, it is almost certainly temporary, and will get better over the next 6-12 weeks, occasionally longer. If its severe, or looking your activity, call your surgeon and make a flow up appointment for this issue.
