Stroke?: If you have never had this before and your arm really is dead (can't move it). You need to call 911 immediately. This sounds like a stroke and every minute counts.

?brachial plexopathy: Description raises question of recent onset of parsonage-turner syndrome of brachial plexitis which is an acute inflammatory condition. But are you dislocating your shoulder and stretching the plexus, or have you developed a thoracic outlet syndrome. Lastly, perhaps this is coming from neck. Really need a full neurological exam asap, as meds at this early phase may make huge impact and reverse.
