Not recommended: Better to ask tattoo artist if they will do it while your on coumadin (warfarin). You could also ask whomever prescribed it, but ask your self: "would I rather bleed from having a tattoo or have another DVT (which could lead to a pulmonary thromboembolism and sudden death) from stopping my anticoagulant?" If you can answer that question you don't need any more input. Or just don't get a tattoo.

DVT/tattoo: I do not think that it is a good idea to stop anticoagulation to get a tattoo. You can get a tattoo at any time. Why risk a problem by stopping the anticoagulation?
